To reschedule everything from scratch in EDGEBIC, select every job on the Drive Schedule tab and press Schedule + Re-Schedule for a full rebuild that still preserves completed work, or press Clear Schedule first for a true blank-sheet reset. Before You Start

Path One: Rebuild the Whole Plan

This is the right choice most of the time. It replans every job while protecting recorded work.

  1. Open the Drive Schedule tab.
  2. Leave every Select checkbox unticked, or tick all rows explicitly.
  3. Press Schedule + Re-Schedule.
  4. If nothing was ticked, answer Yes to the Schedule All Orders prompt to include everything.
  5. Read the Confirm Scheduling dialog. It reports the split, for example "You are about to schedule 40 job(s): 5 new, 35 existing." Answer Yes.
  6. Watch the progress overlay to completion. Every scheduled job shows its Scheduled badge with dates filled in. If you realize mid-pass that you started the wrong run, cancel it from that overlay and the previous plan is left intact.

Each already-scheduled job releases its unfinished reservations so the engine can place them fresh, while completed and in-progress operations are kept exactly. The result is a rebuilt plan on the current calendar, not a wiped one.

Path Two: A True Clean-Sheet Reset

Use this only when the plan itself is untrustworthy, for example after a bad import.

  1. On the Drive Schedule tab, deselect all rows.
  2. Press Clear Schedule.
  3. Confirm the warning that all schedules will be cleared and the action cannot be undone.
  4. With the plan now empty, tick every job and press Schedule + Re-Schedule to build a fresh plan.

Clear Schedule deletes every production schedule, schedule, and resource row, sets each order back to unscheduled, and reopens any completed order with an auditable inventory reversal. It deliberately leaves your planner inputs, including each job's start time, untouched.

How to Check It Worked

  1. After Path One, spot-check a job that was on time before: its Days Late should still read the value the current plan supports, not a surprise.
  2. Confirm completed steps did not move by opening a finished job in Job View and reading its Actual Start and Actual End against what the floor reported.
  3. After Path Two, verify the grid shows every job Unscheduled before you rebuild, then Scheduled after the fresh pass.
  4. Check the Scheduling Failure Dialog if it appears. It lists any job that could not schedule, with a category and a fix hint, so a full pass never silently drops work.

Common Mistakes and Gotchas

  • Reaching for Clear Schedule when a rebuild would do. Clear Schedule reopens completed orders and reverses inventory. If you only want the plan to reflect new master data, Path One is safer and keeps history clean.
  • Forgetting to fix master data first. A full reschedule plans against the calendar and routings as they are at run time. Edit shifts, holidays, capacity, and routings before you run, not after.
  • Assuming a rebuild wipes actuals. It does not. Recorded work is preserved and remaining hours resume from reality. Only Clear Schedule tears down plan rows.
  • Ignoring the failure dialog. On a plant-wide pass, a few jobs may fail pre-flight for a missing routing or an inactive work center. Read the fix hints and re-run the affected jobs rather than assuming everything scheduled.

A full rebuild is the right tool after a genuinely global change: a shift pattern edited across the plant, a wave of routing revisions, a capacity reset, or a fresh import that touched many products at once. It is the wrong tool for a single moved due date or one machine problem, where a rebuild churns dozens of jobs for a change that affected one. Match the size of the pass to the size of the change, and reach for a plant-wide rebuild only when the whole plan really does need to reflect new reality.
