A timeline view mode is the zoom level of the Gantt chart, setting how wide a span of time is shown at once: a week, a month, or a quarter. It decides the horizon you read, from a detailed day-by-day week to a rolling 13-week overview, without touching the schedule itself. Different readers need different reach, and the mode lets each one see the same plan at the altitude that suits their job. How it works
The Gantt shows scheduled operations as bars along a time axis. The timeline view mode sets how much of that axis fits on screen. Week zooms in to a single week, spreading the days out so each operation's start and finish are easy to read.
