- How to Zoom the Gantt Timeline in EDGEBIC
To zoom the Gantt timeline in EDGEBIC, right-click an empty area of the Gantt and choose Timescale Zoom In or Timescale Zoom Out; to reach further out, use Horizon End Later or Horizon Start Earlier, which grow the visible range by a month. On the one-job Job View tab you also get a View selector with fixed Hour, Day, Week, and Month steps. Every one of these is a display control in EDGEBIC by User Solutions, so the plan never moves when you zoom.

Before You Start
- At least one job is scheduled, so the Gantt has bars to zoom.
- You know the difference between zoom (how much time a column covers) and horizon (how far the timeline reaches).
- You are on either the whole-plant scheduler Gantt (Schedule View) or the one-job Job View tab.
The Steps
- Right-click an empty area of the Gantt (not on a bar) to open the timeline menu.
- Choose Timescale Zoom In to narrow each column so bars spread out, or Timescale Zoom Out to compress the timeline and fit more days.
- To reach a distant operation, choose Horizon End Later to grow the right edge by a month, or Horizon Start Earlier to grow the left edge.
- Click Today on the toolbar to scroll the timeline so today is the first visible column.
- On the Job View tab, use the View: selector to jump straight to Hour, Day, Week, or Month, and Show as Hours to switch the strip's unit.
What Changes When You Save
There is no save step. Zoom and horizon commands apply the moment you click them.

How to Check It Worked
After zooming in, a single day should read across several columns and short segments like setup and queue time become distinguishable. After Horizon End Later, an operation that was previously off the right edge should now draw. After Today, the leftmost visible column should be the current day. If none of that happens, confirm you right-clicked empty space rather than a bar, which opens the operation menu instead.
Common Mistakes
Zooming when you meant to extend the horizon. Zooming in on a timeline that ends before your job will never reveal that job; the operation is outside the range, not just small. Use Horizon End Later to reach it.
Right-clicking a bar instead of empty space. A right-click on a bar opens the operation context menu (move, log actuals, clear actuals), not the timeline commands. Aim for an empty lane area.
Expecting zoom to change the schedule. Zoom is purely cosmetic. If bars look like they moved, they only redrew at a new scale; the dates are identical.
Fighting the Job View selector with repeated zoom clicks. On the one-job Job View, the View selector's Hour, Day, Week, and Month steps are usually faster than clicking Timescale Zoom several times.
